What do you do when your favorite team loses?
You’re not alone.
More than half of fans surveyed say they have cleaned up after their favorite team this season.
“It’s not a good time to clean because you’re not getting to enjoy your team,” said Kelly Lutz, an Ohio native who lives in San Diego.
“The game is the biggest part of your life, and you want to see it through.”
The NFL is trying to fix that with a new initiative dubbed Clean Water Week.
The league hopes to raise awareness and help fans understand the risks associated with drinking clean water, and its fans will help educate each other.
“We want to make sure we’re educating fans on what is safe and what is not, how to stay hydrated and what’s best for your body,” said the league’s Vice President of Corporate Communications, Greg Smith.
“We’re really going to try to give people some tips on how to cleanse their bodies, and then they can put those tips into practice.
We want to help people take care of themselves.”
The league has also teamed up with a sports drink maker, Clear Water Beverage Co., to sell a “Clear Water Bowl,” a glass with a water-soluble clear water that can be refilled in the game.
Clear Water has been selling the bowls for years, and now the NFL is taking advantage of the trend.
“This is really the beginning of something,” Smith said.
“It’s really cool.
I don’t know that anyone has done anything like this before, and this is something that we can really do in the league.
We can educate people about how to handle it.”
Smith says that the NFL plans to start selling the Clear Water Bowls in February.
“There is a lot of interest, and there are some people who have been doing it for a long time and want to keep doing it,” Smith added.
“I think we’re seeing a lot more people want to do it, and people are really excited about it,” said David Smith, who lives near Indianapolis and is a fan of the Indianapolis Colts.
“Hopefully, we can see it grow and grow and eventually we’ll have more.
We’re looking forward to it.”
